saff 4x4 problem..

Default saff 4x4 problem..

just been for a blast in the cossie and ive noticed when im in 4th gear doing about 70ish if i lift off the accelator and just coast for a bit theres a really bad vibration and loud noice cant hear the radio above it sounds like gearbox area to me as my gear stick was shaking all over aswel?

It could be prop shaft bearing???

havent a clue but if i put my fooot down its fine but when i lift off its unreal doesnt feel safe atall always one thing after another

I had the same problem on the wife's saff it turned out to be the front drive shaft

I put it on a 2 post ramp but you could jack it up and see if there is any play on the drive shaft or front prop I have got a drive shaft and a front prop if you need one

Just see what you need first and sort it from there am only in cramlington so pretty close all you need to do is push the drive shaft up and down and see if there is any play or noise do the same with the propshaft

Need it on a ramp really mate and see if it's err split I guess lol. Spin the rear wheels to make the prop go round to check it throughout 360'. If yours is shaped like a 50p with 6 bolt holes I have a brand new one here you can have if its fooked

The same thing happened on the wife's split boot then shaft wrecked lol yeah got another one thought we would grow up so got a 530d e60 nice car but missed not having a cossie after I sold the 3dr

dont know yet its been converted to 4x4 so going to put it back to 2wd i think it might get a stage 3 its already has a painted floor and stuff so thats all sorted
