Default Forming a new heatshield for a 2WD Sapph racecar

I had a franken-heatshield made out of bits of 2WD Cossie heatshields bolted together. It's finally collapsed and I'm thinking about the best option for a new one. Car uses a standard T3 and is around 300hp. Has anyone used a freeform sheet to make a new one? I'm looking at these from Demon Tweeks: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motors...ield/1471/1881

I assume that you form the shape by hand then add fixings and bolt it in place. Has anyone used them? One is four times the price of the other. Thanks, Charlie

Hi mate,
Here is my quick effort made from nimbus lite...
Took 15mins (as you can probably tell lol ) but I'm sure you could do a masterpiece if you had time
One thing I would say is that the edges are very sharp.. I need to round the edges off and find some edging material.
I got it from nimbus direct £60 delivered
Engine bay is still a work in progress

Thanks for posting. That looks good. Demon Tweeks sell it pretty cheap:

I assume that's the same stuff.

Edit to say that Nimbus GII is double thickness - is that what you used?

Nice engine bay btw.

Vacuum pipe slit down the middle acts as a good edging and would tie in with your colour scheme

I guess you can just bend the ends over for a neater look? Like the blue piping idea though.
