Default sapphire cossie 4x4 oil leak, any ideas?

hello ive recently just got a lovely 93 sapphire 4x4 but she is dripping a small amout of oil from the back of engine from what i can see,ive not had a proper look under it as of yet as i dont have a good jack and axel stands, i placed a piece of paper under sump and its dripped about half a teaspoon of oil in 3 days, only a small leak,to me seems to be coming from rear of engine, any common problems for leaks on thesei know its a 19 year old ford? thanks

There just a heavy box.You will have to remove the gear stick from inside the car.Remove coweling around gear stick and remove leather boot. There is a pin that you have to knock out to remove the stick.

Jack car up front and rear prop shafts off disconnect battery.Remove anti roll bar bolts remove bell housing bolts on gear box.

Remove box, clutch, flywheel. pull old seal out and be careful putting new seal back in. rebuild and good luck.

If your going to do it on your own, do it on axle stands about 2 ft off the ground. This way you can use a trolley jack to take most of the weight as you pull the box back. When putting it back in I had it on my chest using my arms to hold the bell housing and alignment and my knees and feet to push on the tail shaft . Mind you I'm a big lad and quite strong. Aligning the input shaft into the clutch always gives the most problem. Make sure you use a clutch alignment tool or even better once you bust your first box, use the old input shaft as a diy alignment tool.
