He already cried and fucked off from this site once. Then now seems to want to be here but be a cock all the time!

Only trouble with brunters is you need to have your car repainted afterwards LOL....
I have never had any issues with live mapping on the "cough" test track LOL....

it appears ma developments is now an option but they all have different ideas with regards upping the power nms say 300bhp for 350+vat. ma developments is around 600 inc vat but done differently. reyland wont say until they check the car and msd is Ł250 for 260-280bhp decisions decisions 1 things is for sure i would like reliabilty.
with what ive seen in the past i would go mark at mad every time hes def your best option mate

The irony is, people claiming mapping on the road is dangerous no doubt pay for thier car to be mapped on the dyno, then give it the 5th gear/8k treatment on the way home

Just to talk about reliability.....
Karl built and mapped my current engine and has boost from 1bar to 2.5bar rev's to 9k and has done 18,000 miles never missed a beat, actually thats the lie the old map rev'd to 8k but kept eaching lifters....now on solids and new cams its been fucking amazing all of which have been hard miles. So i am pretty sure his map on a standard engine if the engine is in good condition will last years

He tried to sell me a rotten rs500 once , I made him an offer that was a fair price ( for a trader ) but he got the hump as he thought he was sat on a gold mine ,
Instead of just saying ,thankyou but i think its worth more , He spat his dummy out and threw all his toys out of his pram ,
Regards Tuners

all of the above are more than capable
ive been to NMS and there service and knowledge is great
Ive had things of Stu @ MSD and his service and help is great, even if you dont buy or send anything to him, always helps with a quick reply, which makes a change from some companys only helping when you buy from them

1 very good reason for using a RR over live mapping is other road users, yeah your mapper may use a good driver but the rest of public driving standards may not be as good. 1 well known mapper lost his life while live mapping a customers car so if that's not a good enough reason I dont know what is.

he did jap stuff.
ive never had anything jap but heard about it, know a couple of people who used him.
theres a fair few jap car with rip tweenie stickers on them.
also any of them tuners are more than capable of a setup or full build.
ive used msd for quite a bit in the past and had great service.
but i will be going to reyland for a full rr checkover. mainly as its nearer than msd and stu will send an update for my chip via email to martin so if anything needs adjusting it can be done from there. win win
plus its nice for it to be run on the rollers to find faults, and get a print out at the same time.

cossie fan (unluckerly)
but in the same way it kind of says why would you ever tune a road car anyway because speeding full stop is dangerous not just doing it with a lap top conected to see what the engine is doing lol but we all do it and all accept it! and i wouldent agree with any of carcollectors points what a total fool

I have a piddly 1.8 zetec running basically everything apart from throttle bodies for an N/A engine and travelled from London to Blackpool to get it custom mapped at MSD. James dealt with all my enquiries and would go again.

from what I have learned both methods are pretty much required when doing a mod change or even a full map.
They way I see it a rr is excellent, safer and a lot more time efficiant for setting up the cars different load sites at various throttle loads etc as the rollers can be set to hold a set speed. Also with a blown engine things happen very quickly to should anything go wrong it is much safer to deal with.
Once the car is finished on the dyno it would need to be run out on theopen road and then have everything monitored, the airflow and other variables which the rr cannot replicate may need minor tweaking, but all the hard work has been done safely on the r/r so any chances of something happening to the engine due to a mapping error are minimised.
This is just my opinion as I am no way a mapper, rick of here is doing all my mapping, I have yet to inform him that I have access to both a 2 wheel drive rr or a 4wd dd for him to play with

I think every mapper has a stretch of road they know well and more importantly know how the traffic is on it at any given time, I must admit though, mapping rods car on the move (I assume on a track/runway?) must be a bit of a handfull. Would scare the crap out of me lol

why not tell them the real story ? i offered you the car for 12k and u said 7k as it wasnt worth more in your mind.
next day mark calls me and says he gives me 12k no probs cause he was gonna break it and make a profit. he did and we were all happy.
all bar you, as u then upped the offer when u realized im not as daft as you thought....but hey, too late as i dont wanna be messed about.
but the bad aftertaste of your offer remains to this day, as i still think it was a ripoff.

every tuner has a stretch of "test track" near them - my mate hooked up det cans on my 3dr ages ago as the turbo was rebuilt and we went for a blast to check everything was ok - got some funny looks
i agree with Raj in that its best to do the bulk of the mapping on the dyno and then fine tune for the road.
My 3dr was mapped by ahmed on the road and it was fooking brilliant at 400/400 - fook knows how they mapped it at full boost but in the time i had it, i never had a single issue with it

therefore i dont think roads are a feasible place. be they side streets, country lanes of freeways, you never really know what you will encounter.
if privateers do it fine, their problem but pro's shouldnt be telling people to.
as martin said : people got killed doing it
so should we then still be doing it if theres other ways or means ? i dont think so.

Just to throw another thought into the mix.. I know that one tuner that comes on here had their insurance cancelled after his insurer visited the guys site and read that he did live mapping on the road, don't get me wrong I know it has to be done as I still have to check cars on the road at times but my RR gets 95% of the job done for me.
