Small turbo to l8 conversion
Hi people. Recently purchased a small turbo escos rolling shell, which I am changing over to l8 management. I am taking the management from my saph. It has l8 ecu, with an msd chip and coilpack chip, and also have a braided ryan loom.
I need a little guidance with the switchover though. The engine loom and car loom are as one in the escort which is fair enough, I obviously have to leave the majority of this loom in place as it feeds various parts at the front of the car. Now do I leave the eedis unit connected or can I unplug that??
I also wasn't sure as the standard immobiliser will connected to the small turbo ecu?? If this right?? If so does that mean I have to leave the small turbo ecu connected?? Any tips or general ideas on what the best route to take would be much appreciated.

Yeah don't snip anything off, right Mark?
If it was being done properly you'd need to untape the entire loom and remove the engine loom companents from it, would take aggggges.

Yeh thats what I was thinking, however It's kind of hard to wrap it all up and hide it as there seems to be a few wires and plugs that I need to keep in situ, like abs sensor, front fogs, headlights etc. What did you do about those wires??

Its all still there, just tucked away as far as i remember. It would be a far neater job to remove everything EECIV related, just depends on how much time you want to take doing it?
