Default Transit service light

Hi peeps was wondering how to turn the service light on the dash off I've just serviced it myself and need to turn the light off without having to take out a morgage at a ford dealer it's an 07 transit

Jump in the van put you feet on the throttle pedal and the brake pedal.Turn the ignition on so the lights come on the dash then wait for the spanner light to flash.Once it starts flashing start the van up.and the service/spanner light should go out.

Thats the way I was told also but for some reason this doesn't always work first time, A few times Ive had to repeat the sequence . Always works in the end

There's no effect from putting foot on accel and brake when ign off or starting it as it flashes.

I just turn ign on, floor ign and brake, wait.. (about 15secs) spanner starts flashing, turn ign off.

Brake pedal, throttle and ignition on.
Press and hold trip reset button, 20 secs I think.

You will have to wait a while.For some reason you sometimes have to have a few goes at it.

handy ill get mine done, my van was serviced ('bout 15k) and the lamp came on 'bout 1000 miles later

on the facelift ones (56 plate onwards) its ign first then throttle and brake. pre 56 its pedals first then ign.
