The person IS being anal as I dont see the problem, but in the event on non-delivery its unlikely the delivery person would ring the person anyway, its always better to put a return address.
Even Royal Mail wont return mail now unless you put a return address on the back.

already sent the reply mate
hi jo, i always put phone numbers on the address labels as advised by all courier companys and royal mail. its so that if they have problems with delivery they can get in contact with you! ie if they cant find the address or if the item gets held up in the system.
hope this helps explain. darren.
if i get another reply in an arsy tone my reply mood may change

"Foook if i can find that bloody caravan of hers near the retail park and theres no contact number"

its a good idea.
when i used to do courier work I would ALWAYS ring the number if there was one to find out where they were and if there was any point in deliverin the package as no point if they aint home.

I don't see a problem with it personally.
It was for her benefit really, it may be an idea in future to check whether the buyer wants their mobile number on the packaging, as some people do get a bit funny about stuff like this.

Im sure if you didnt put the contact number down and they were unable to deliver it, she would still be moaning!! You cant win!
Virtuallt all the parcels i send out have the contact number on the outside... I thought it was the 'done thing' these days!?
