Default Does a Nissan vanette need commercial rated tyres?

Reason I ask is I have a 51 plater, the smaller Serena sized version and it's wanting 2 front tyres for the Mot.
Now,as im making it a dayvan I'd like to put some decent rims on it and to my great happiness their 114.3 x 5 Pcd meaning near enough all JDM stuff goes on,Mazda seem my best shout as regards centre bore etc.

So what I'd like to know I'd could I rather than waste £70 or so on 2x14" commercials just go straight to some nice 17" rx8 alloys etc, which I can get for around £200?

I've heard some testers may have to fail it due the tyres being non commercial rated therefore putting me back to square 1!!!

Any thoughts appreciated!!!
