Would you use a DIY "rent a ramp" Service?
A mate has a Business Idea and is looking for a little Input from people -

Sounds like a good idea to me.... saves getting the Axle stands out and laying on the floor in the drive way

that is a wicked idea missed the poll but i cant get access to a ramp which very much limits what i can do for myself. was gonna build a pit in the front garden but wouldnt trust it

brilliant idea. already very prevalent over here knowns as 'hobby workshops'
if he could combine it with an online calendar and booking system it would be excellent. the problem is keepingb people to their alloted time slots, as some jobs end up taking twice as long as you thought.

Jobs likely to over run such as gearbox changes etc would be offered a daily rate when starting the job, allowing extra time for a discounted rate.
Should the car be undriveable by the end of the working day (which would be 8-9pm nightly) then storage facilities will be available, again for a very good rate.
Insurance is indeed something to tackle but the right policy is out there, and the place would NOT trade without sufficiant insurance. Fear not.I would indeed be SE London based as J said
