Default T-Cut

What's the difference between the normal T-Cut and the coloured stuff?

Need to get my dull, red paintwork a bit of a going over. My old man has a full bottle of the normal stuff, but I was gonna go buy the red one?

Or am I better just to give it a good polish?

I wouldnt bother with t cut by hand m8 it bloody hard work and can look very patchy, its far easier to use a polish by machine to get a much better finish, ive even used super resin polish(not very abbrasive for a polish) to bring a car back from pink to red

T cut is so old hat now and there are many products out there that will do the job so much easier and better.

As said use Auto Glym SRP by hand as this will remove surface oxidisation and be much easier to work with than T cut.

Ideally it needs a machine polish with a good quality compound to bring it back like a mirror, then sealing with a good wax to protect it.

To echo what has been said, there are much better products out there now. AutoGlym SRP is a good one for applying by hand. For best results a good machine polish will be well worth it, if you get one of your own practice on an old bonnet or something. If you get it wrong you can burn the paint and remove the paint on edges.
To repeat what i put on an earlier thread look on detailingworld for anything car cleaning related.

Cheers guys! Probably won't get a machine to do it myself - me and carrelated DIY misha[s go hand in hand!

Will check out the autoglym stuff though!

Srp by hand would be hard work it works via machine 10 times better, a more aggressive polish is better for quicker results like menz or 3m
