I have been thinking recently about the potential of a smart repair business which operates completely on sub contracting the work to contacters in the industry. I work in the industry already but for someone else, I incidentally do not posses any repair skills myself, I am merely a desk boy. I just thought if I built a good relationship with some very skilled guys in various disciplines I could get top quality results, add a few percent and re charge the end customer.
I am thinking wheel refurbs, bumper repairs, touch ins etc. Could this work, does anyone have experience of a similar venture?

I know its difficult out there at present with lots of these vans/businesses popping up, if you could do it on the side of your current job until you know you have the work etc may be best.

Will come down to:
your ability to bring in the work
the prices you get charged and need to charge on being competitive
the reliability and quality of the work of your sub contractors.
No reason it cant be done, and is done.
