Default True or False?

2.2 @ 1079 @ the wheels!!!!
The Cavalier ran a 7.66sec 1/4 @ 179mph at what makes this phenomenal is the engine that did it, a 2.2 ecotec four cylinder.
The standard 2.2 ecotec engine originally produced 130 bhp.

I don't have all the spec on the internals of the engine, but it is safe to say that considerable work was done to make the reciprocating parts stronger and lighter, to reinforce the block to withstand a huge increase in cylinder pressure, and to do everything possible to the head in portwork, valves and cams to acheive high rpm flow.
The star player in the engine compartment had to be the Garrett ballbearing turbo charger, and most of the power increase comes from the serious ammount of boost it pumps.
I know that the engine sucks in the air through a large intake duct, and that the compressor output travels through a large liquid to air intercooler before entering the fabricated inlet manifold, with big throttle body.
The engine use MSD8 ignition, a dry sump and big stuff 3 engine management.
Most of the parts from the engine, were purchased through the main dealer options catalogue.
Answer: False ....it had 1080 @ the wheels

It goes onto say....Steve...
....owners of Vauxhall/ Opel ecotec engines should be encouraged by the variety of performance equipment offered for these engines by GM Performance parts division of General Motors. Their US catalogue includes the 2.2 litre heavy duty block, with steel sleeves, bigger head and main studs, and it's machined for metal 'o'ring type head gaskets. They also have available billet crankshafts and rods, and a fabricated inlet manifold and a CNC ported cylinder head.
These DOHC engines have balance shafts in standard 2.2 form, but most engine builders feel these are a limitation in high RPM race-engines, so GM even offers a pair of balance shafts with 'neutral' balance for use in performance engines.

Yeah total BOLLOCKS eh

ooh handbags

you deliberatley gave no info (esp that it was in the USA) so people would be fooled into thinking it was a normal vaux cavalier with a modded 2.2 ecotec from a VX220 or vectra, as these parts ARNT available from UK dealers... so yourself

got a link to this lot?
