Galaxy A/C pipe - microcat
Could somebody with Microcat please post up a picture and part number of the pipe that goes to the compressor (between compressor and condenser, and compressor and accumulator?).
Mine has a hairline crack at the manifold where it was twisted during engine tilting when the clutch was changed, and I'm having trouble sourcing a new one.
2002 Galaxy 2.3 with dual A/C.
Thanks for any help

i worked in the automotive a/c industry for 12 years in a test environment where i used to remove pipes to add instrumentation for measuring temperature and pressure. i used to braze the fittings on myself, or sometimes take them to a specialist welder to TIG, so i know what can be done. with the aluminium now being old and corroded, welding the surface will not be easy. this repair would be especially difficult as it is at the joint of the pipe to the manifold block, and trying to weld in that area is difficult as the manifold takes away the heat and you have to be careful with the thin wall pipe.
it's an option, but i would rather get a set of secondhand pipes or better still, new pattern parts. the problem is i can't find any anywhere, but having the ford part number may bring something up in a seach.
Also i'd like the picture to see how far back along the drivers side inner wing the suction pipe goes, as removing it is going to involve removing lots of other stuff, and i'd rather only do that once to replace it
