Default amal valve plumbed up wrong....

ok checked today and seems amal valve was wrong...

W = went to atmosphere
R = went to wastegate

now car boost seems a LOT more friendly... infact prob a bit low

what happens when its piped wrong? ie why boost so much?

do you make rod shorter or longer to increase boost?

and any idea roughtly how much to turn to say increase by 1psi or 5psi etc??

Was pulling maybe 20psi full shant and now maybe 10ish... this on a tt38 dont wanna go crazy as new build and still running in but 10 seems a little light...

thnx

Default

on my car the wastegate is just set to half a hole preload and the chip as far as i know controls the boost and amal valve iirc
ive always been taught that just winding an actuator rod in and out is a pikey way of upping boost and the best way to melt an engine!
i could be completley wrong though as allthough im a mechanic i leave owt like that up to msd!
