Default Bloody standard 3 door cooling fans

i hate my standard 3 door cooling fans. they were fine until i put my pro alloy intercooler in and disturbed the rad and fans by moving them back one hole. now ever since ive done this wen the fans kick in it starts to melt the fuse and its a bloody good job ive noticed because it could of been bye bye cossie hello pile of ash. anyone no why the hell there doing this. ive heard they just draw to much power and the fuse cant cope. or cud it be the fans are seizing up ??

20-odd year old wiring with high resistance + high current draw = instant heating element.

Buy a new fan loom and remove the problem completely - I think MSD sell them for a good price

At least get the rewire kit or do yourself , the looms are a nice tidy bit of kit. From reading on here many times over Ford just ran the wiring the same as any normal Sierra which only used 1 fan. 20 years later with 2 fans on this setup is asking for trouble. Many a cosworth fuse box has burnt out damaging it. The rewire is a must . Having 1 relay per fan is a good move too if one happens to fail you still have cooling if needed
