Default Read my key

Hi guys,

Title says it all!

Here are some high res pics of my key...can someone please ID them? My car didn't come with the key ID card and I'd obviously like to know it in case of an emergency!

Thanks!

try this

By looking at the key it can be read. There are no 0's on a ford key just nos 1-4.
The key has 6 cuts, starting from the one nearest the handle, working down to the last cut which is towards the end of the key.The key begins with T which stands for Tibbe(the name of the key).
So look at the first cut,if it is uncut it is a 1.If it is cut all the way down it is a 4.It is handy if you have 2s and 3s on the key because if there isnt they can be hard to differentiate.
So you should have a key like T124324(example),if in doubt pop into your ford dealership and they will tell you the no straight away.

hope this helps

Looks to be T214142 but its difficult to tell from a pic. 2's and 3's are hard to differentiate between without actualy holding the key to see cut lines/shadows etc.
Any ford dealer and most key cutting place will tell you though.

I thought it was T214143, but wasn't sure because 2 and 3 look very similar.
Here are some angled pictures if it helps...

Each pic is one side

why not get another key cut...why ask to READ the key, why do you need to know how to read a key.

maybe a genuine question but seems a bit strange the first thing you ask on a forum.

I am getting a key cut from someone on ebay. He wasn't 100% sure from the pictures so I thought I'd get a second opinion. I usually post on a model specific car forum but came on here as I thought I lot more people would be on here who'd be able to identify it.
