Have decided on getting the Clifford 650 MK2 alarm for my car, with Intellistart.
Basically, does anyone know of any REALLY good installers who could supply and fit this alarm?
I've found a company called Dynamic Sounds in London, who have brilliant feedback on the bay also. So have already contacted them for a quote.
The alarm itself, installed will be 300 quid with them plus whatever the Intellistart adds on.
I live next to Stansted Airport, but would travel a reasonable distance if required!
Many thanks!

ebay feed back doesnt really mean a lot.
you want someone whos got a good verbal feedback/forum feedback for thier alarms working a good few years after fitting. Clifford alarms are only as good as the fitter. A well fitted alarm will go for the life of the car, a bodged one will be no end of trouble.
K&M acoustics in wigan has a good reputation with modified cars and alarm fitting but hes up in wigan so a bit far.

99%+ feedback on ebay ain't to be sniffed at when you have 60k feedback ratings.

i got a clifford 650original. Came with the car but has been brilliant. Only prob is the siren isnt loud anymore. It used to blow your eardrums if it went of. Is there anyway of fixing this?

Should be able to go to a Clifford dealer and them order you a new one. If the alarm is old old though you're pretty screwed, Clifford also changed the sirens a few times so not all sirens will work with all alarm systems

Why would you not fit a clifford? they have won best cat 1 at the MEM awards for the past couple of years the toad Ai606 is a piece of shit unrealible and temperental. I have installed car secuirity for nearly 12 years and would only ever have clifford. sigam are not too bad but very basic for the little extra money for the clifford 650 you get black jax, multichannel and remotley adjustable prox sensor rather than old fashioned ultra sonics.
People slate clifford due to there very old Concept 50 alarm (1996ish) which was nicked named the come back 50 as it really was a pile of crap this alarm was the 3rd generataion clifford G4 was brilliant and they are now G5 and working on G6.
If your are fitting a clifford then please find a good installer because as mentioned above install is half the battle.
Alot of installers will slag off clifford and put people onto cobra or sigma etc as they take half the time to fit as a clifford.
Just my 2 pence.

Ive just bought a cat 1 alarm and am getting a mate to fit it, along with some other secret mods to make it a bit more secure
![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
My build has slowed a little as waiting to get a decent clutch and have delayed the conversion until after the Ford Dunton day.
Hopefully not long now and i cant bloody wait

my favorite mods to an alarm install are earth shield the bonnet wire have two bonnet pins one on each side and air horns inside the car under the dash or seat try sitting in there with the alarm going off and door closed.

my mate is an auto electrician, fitted cliffords on all my cars and my brothers he has even taken my clifford off my old car and fitted to my new car and it still works amazing, no problems ever! i would never fit any other type of alarm, you just need a good fitter! any alarm badly fitted will cause problems.

i have been fitting alarms professionally for over 10years and personally i have removed more badly fitted cliffords than any other manufacturer, they are an incredibly time consuming product to install correctly and if these companies that used to advertise in the back of mags GAP etc fitted them they were thrown in and never worked properly.
i install toads, sigma, and cobra and never really got too involved with cliffords.
the ai606 is an amazing product and as versatile as any clifford, same as sigma if you could be bothered to programme the thing correctly.
its all about the fitter at the end of the day.
