Question Cosworth belt tensioner and bolt?

When i got my head skimmed they removed the cambelt tensioner but forgot to stick it back on, ive aquired a tensioner but dont have the bolt to tighten it up with
Ive been up the shed and found a bolt that seems to be the correct size for the thread but its very tight as im doing it up, i really dont want to ruin the thread so gonna pop down the diy shop tomorrow to get a selection of new bolts

Is it just a standard bolt or some special kind of bolt on there, anyone know the size i need?

It's a stud and then the tensioner is held on with a nut. I'm pretty sure it's M8x1.5 thread.

I had a ordinary nut on mine and it has come loose and done my valves in. I would defo wait for the right nut mate for the sake of a tenner
