me too, should swap over though.
i run a standard FRS box, at 3200rpm it does bang on 70mph (calibrated stack speedo) on 195/45r15 tyres, top speed on limiter of 7500rpm (currently) will give a top speed of 164mph.
if that helps at all.
diesel final drive may be better unless you run bigger wheels, which i can't really on a mk2 fiesta.

Rick how does the pinion come off is it a big job?
I have a diesel box in mine with quaife diff, and the gear change is a little funny, I was told gears are designed to run at a certain speed, and maybe I'm running them two fast (all sounds weird to me) so was thinking put a petrol box in with deisel final drive, do you no what sort of gearing that would be?

our car will be running on 17" on slicks, dont want to end up with a sprint box, or too long a gear, was thinking about the middle powered derv box ratios? just cant seem to find a petrol box for sensible moneys, and dont get me started on diff prices

pinion needs a press to change, but easy for a transmission place to sort. I use the 3.41 diff with Focus RS ratios. Focus RS runs big wheels so has a lower 3.82 final drive as std. 5th is 0.85.
