PassionFord Post Whore!!
The carbon one looks really good, nothing against Spec. r / AS etc, but the saff bumper does have a few too many bends and shapes to get a metal one to sit right with no gaps....

i like the spec r one too but dident want a stainless one and its hardly noticable when your stood behind the car so defo wouldent call it massive lol im well chuffed with it and ive seen what it looks like if you leave it too melt for to long! a total mess lol so i much rather have a heat shield

if any one fancies nipping their bumper down to me for one day then I will happilly make a mould for 2 versions and supply which ever for free for their generosity!!! I would also do a rolled edge instead of a cut edge, takes a little more effort but makes the world of difference imo

Yes mate, can make it look a lot neater, here is a redtop heatshield we have recently done with a rolled edge, .7mm thick made from a 3 layer stack
The main thing to notice is the edge, most composite makers will simply make an oversize sheet then cut it back to the correct size, doorcards is a good example. We try to use a rolled edge where ever possible, it means a fair bit more work but the end product just looks better.
Hope this makes sense.
p.s. come on kjimbo get your saph up to autoflock hq!!! promise I will do you a nice brew

just to add all our carbon composites are created using infusion which allows to get the high quality finish in our products, here is a sneaky pic of the heat shield just broken out of the mould.
