Default Focus RS Mk3.....

It's a goer according to PH! Power could be nudging 400bhp all in a FWD car

All I can think of is my RST with 230bhp ATW and how useless it was to drive

Hopefully they'll bring out a 4wd platform soon

I'm getting annoyed that everything is 4 cylinders these days.
The V6 in the Mondeo was changed for a T5 lump and then changed for a 4 cylinder engine.
Then theres this Focus which has dropped from a 5 cylinder to a 4 cylinder.
Then theres the Golf R, the old R32's were 3.2 litres, now just a 4 cylinder.

I don't care if they're turbocharged, nothing beats the sound of 5/6/8+ cylinders!
I would quite hapily trade a few MPG and a few BHP for an extra cylinder or two just to have a nice soundtrack!

According to a dealer when I went he was saying that the 5 pot was a massive selling point and prior to release had a video on line so buyers could hear what it was like before the cars got to the show room.

Also said that ST's and RS's would hold value now they've ditched the 5 pot but prices are dropping faster than Amy wine house after a line.

Hang on a minute; a car dealer gave some bullshit chat about the cars he sells having strong residuals... that doesn't sound right?!

Thats because the RST chassis is an almost 30 yeard old bag of toss unlike the new foci. The two are not comparable and as such hankering after 4wd is pointless as it wont happen unless its just electric assist to rwd.

Inb the current focus 4wd is too heavy and not needed so i'd trust the ford engineers
