Default Converting standard (vauxhall in this case) wheels to run sleeved nuts

I should probably just go to 5 stud to give the studs a much easier life (less leverage due to the larger PCD and it means that you are always working against at least 2 studs not just one at times like on 4 stud) but I really like cesaro wheels so would like to keep them but I need to accept that its another area where the very large side loading my car gets with the grippy tyres and my driving style is more than the components can take.

So far in the last few trakdays I have had the following issues with my corsa:

Camber slot movement on the strut, caused by the massive side loading under cornering being too much for it to handle.
FIX: Went to struts with fixed camber fitment instead

Snapping drive flanges, again caused by the massive side loading under cornering being too much for it to handle.
FIX: Binned off the crappy machined down hubs and went onto proper ones with audi bearings

Obviously each time I fix something it means that the next weakest link in the chain becomes the issue and thats now the wheel studs, which are just cheapy stud and nut conversion ones from rally designs.

So I need to do something about it really, so was thinking that sleeved buts and machined wheels might be the simplest option (bear in mind that although 5 stud on the corsa is easy I like to be able to share wheels with the renaults we run too and there is no such easy conversion on that)

Anyone here ever had standard wheels machined for sleeved nuts?

Steveboyslim perhaps? Or one of the rallying lads?

I could ask revolution wheels if they would drill them for inserts if you are stuck?

Are you concerned about the wheel breaking, or a stud ?

Good call.

These look promising
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product...oducts_id=4360

Presumably used with these:
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product...oducts_id=4358

Trouble is with those, they need studs like this:
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product...oducts_id=4357

Which wont fit at all simply to a vauxhall or renault as they are designed for ford.

How about http://www.hh-ms.com/viewer.php?Image=1233829822.jpg and then take your pick from http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/advance...vlbjbohb9m3kk5
and inserts from http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/advance...sort=2a&page=2 or even http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/popup_image.php?pID=4736 and buy the Hockly wheel studs.

Steve

Those studs from hockley look ideal in preference to the rally design ones I have currently, these ones:

Under a fiver each too.

Have ordered those as a first step, will see if that is enough to stop the issue and if not then will go back to looking at sleeved nuts again.
