Default I can use a Microsquirt to get my Fiesta 2.0 going can't I?

As far as I can see the inputs needed are all on the standard engine and intake manifold. If I make myself a loom from the Microsquirt/Fiesta/Focus engine loom, and use one of the basic maps to get it running I should be able to go from there?

Inputs being

power (+/- 12V)
air temp
water temp
maf/map
cps
tps
ignition live

Outputs being

injectors 1-4
spark timing
tacho if wanted

And I could butcher up the fiesta 1.3 relay block to run this? It doesn't sound that hard to be honest.

Yes, but bear in mind you will only be able to run high imp injectors and you will need an external MAP sensor.
