Default Anyone here done a Europe road trip ?

right basically i wanna do some sort of road trip to monaco then to stelvio pass on the way back, never done one before apart from the ring trips and if im honest i REALLY loved the road trip there and back on them hence my thinking of doing a road trip rather than another ring trip this year ( not to mention with the increase in fuel, rate of the euro and general price increases,,,,,,, its getting a little pricey for me if im honest)

so bascially has anyone on here done it, if so how did you do it/what route and anything i should look for/try out that you may have missed

btw this will be a 5 day trip ideally rather than a long trip but its about driving which,,, is the point really

this is sort of a rough idea of my route which may change, technically i could add nurburgring to the end on the way back if it was open but im thinking of making it a seperate type of trip

anyone got any bits to perhaps add or remove ?

mate my dream europe trip would be driving through to south france, do few laps round monti carlo, then head up towards alps in italy, then belguim then nurburgring LAST as thats when u got most chance of crashing. If v can drive round spa then i'd do that whilst in belguim

The biggest problem, for us, is france!, thats in the way,

ok if your going north, as you get in to belgium and holland then onto Germany pretty quick.

If i was to do another road trip, i'd cheat, and fly to say Germany, hire a car then see a bit of Europe

north france tbh is just a way to stretch the engines legs before you enter a much nicer south of france

ive never been to Lyon, monaco, switzerland ect so its gonna be a fun trip if i can get the people to agree on it and get a decent route made up

just something to do for a change and perfect for a petrol head IMO and would be nice to have some holiday snaps to come back with after a holiday to reflect on the trip ( fuck me im getting old)

Haha!! Ginge it sounds like I'm doing exactly the trip you're describing... Starting next Sunday My air con pipes just need swaging on Monday, then once it's gassed I should have aircon, fitted new stereo today (one that holds an Ipod inside) so I'm nearly ready.

Yes I wouldn't dream of doing it with no air con, even the vans at work have aircon these days though I will be camping as I done camping last weekend for a mates birthday fior the first time ever and really loved it, thought I would proper hate it too but hotel in Monaco is a must, can't see me pitching a tent is casino square

You must give a report when your back as I'm proper up for this and already I'm last min.com about it but that's the fun in a road trip
