Default Vandalism at Ford Fair?

Howdy Chaps!

Been speaking to a few people about Ford Fair coming up, and every one of them told me about something which worried me. Basically, they were saying that any cars that turned up at Ford Fair that weren't Fords, were vandalised by idiots.

This is worrying for me, as me and some other friends our going to Ford Fair in a couple of weeks in my Honda. Obviously, I won't be entering it in the show, but I'm worried about it getting damaged in the car park.

Should I be worried, or are people telling fibs about the vandalism?

Kind Regards,
Frenchy

Seem to remember people getting bits taken from their cars which were left in the car park, sure someone on here had their S1 towing cover tanned..

Heard of plenty of people saying they have had things stolen from the car park, not vandalised though.

Yeah, I've also heard of plenty of Fords having bits pinched, but this vandalism against non-fords turning up shocked me. I am a huge ford fan and have been around fords all my life. The only reason I drive my Honda is because it's an awesome car which I got for nothing.

Seems like I have nothing to worry about then. Thanks chaps!

That was at Combe last year.

At any car show there is the chance that someone may take a shine to something you own, but it's not as if it's exclusive to car shows! It's just as likely to happen outside your house, or in a supermarket car park!

I know of Ford shows with much smaller attendance figures with much higher crime rates, so I wouldn't worry too unnecessarily about Ford Fair.

Vandalism,no.My bro has had 2 car's damaged through attempted break in's at silverstone though. We got out to find the front passenger door had been pulled out from the top on his scorpio.Bent the door frame. He also had his Volvo damaged when some fecker tried to open a door with what appeared to have been a long screwdriver or small crow bar. Both was at Ford Fair at silverstone.Don't let it put you off.I don't believe for one minute a car would be vandalised at Ford Fair just because it's another make.Unfortunately I do believe that some fucker's go to steal from car's.Awesome show.Get yourself there.

i think it was either me or the owner who spotted it just as he was putting the bonnet down so it was a lucky spot

i think that car parks are always going to be a risk if you turn up with something tasty but it's a risk you take every day, ford fair tends to have been one of the least incident packed shows over the years, i remember someone had their entire car taken apart at donnington a few years back and everyone just stood around thinking the guy was nuts

That was a Subaru and might be the Show someone has quoted. We all take risks attending Shows but 99% of the time you will be ok. Ive had jacking point blanks pinched from a RS day at Pod just remember not everyone is honest, even those in car clubs

I've heard of theft, at some shows, but never at ford fair, you'd think the one place a car is safe is in amongst petrol heads and car enthusiasts. Can't seem to trust no one (although saying that, the more clever thieving git knows whats worth money and just turns up at the shows to steal things).
