mine went through mot with no prob dan

As an MOT tester I can state that it is unlikely that wastegate/screamer would be activated during a 2500 rpm Basic Emission Test so therefore a screamer pipe should not fail.

BUT

If you get pulled over for "excessive noise" then an MOT certificate is no defense for having (in the eyes of Police using Construction and Use regs)a "defective" vehicle.

I never had a problem, as said, you'll won't hear a vta screamer by just doing the high idle test. There has to be a meaningful amount of boost going through the turbo before the screamer comes into play, the required load to generate boost isn't there in a static MOT test.

mine on the 3dr used to exit just behind the front the n/s front wheel and passed with no issues.

shame it got wrote off on the way home from the mot, 1/2 mile up the road

not travelers as such mate, as the cunts still live on the local gypo camp and have not fucked off

its still all going through the insurance, they failed to reply to 2 NIP's, the cops had them in for questioning and they still denied it so there was nothing else they could do....

im waiting for the copper dealing with the case to call me back on thursday to see if they picked up the part of the vans front number plate that was left at the scene, as that could now be crucial evidence. i was told by the cops that they would take it as evidence, so ill be fucked off if they dont have it!

its been 7 months now, and im still no closer to a payout!

the 3dr has been stripped and about 2/3 sold off. i still have a lot of stuff left however that i need to shift.

it takes the fucking piss mind, i thought being insured fully comp ment that in cases like these, you get paid out and then its up tot he insurance company to claim the costs back???

obviously not...

thing i dont understand, youve got his reg, part of his plate etc and an eye witness statement from your mapper who was sat next to you.....

so why the fuck cant the cops seize his car for a forensic investigation of the front end to check for matching damage, especially as it was a hit and run and hence a criminal case not a "civil matter".
