Hi me mum has a vectra cdti 120 and it seems to hold back, it feels like a judder and then clears, happens at most speeds but you notice more at 30-40 mph, car has 137 k miles with full history, any ideas? thanks

check for fault codes, usual suspect is egr valve or the multiplugs on the injectors

Either egr or the intake manifold flap rod has come off, have a little look on top of the intake manifold and see if the rod that connects the flaps is still on

If it hasn't had a new inlet manifold it could well be the swirl control chambers. The inlet gets gunked

If it hasn't had a new inlet manifold it could well be the swirl control chambers. The inlet gets gunked up and causes the swirl control flaps to get stuck and it snaps the control bar off the top of it. Saying that though it probably Is an egr fault
