I'm finding it difficult to find a genuine one, so can anyone please lend me their ICV for the 22nd July so I can get my car mapped at SCS. Only needed for a day, mines a right pain in the ass, cleaning and leaving to soak in fuel just doesn't cut it anymore...
Anyone able to help???
PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE????
Thanks,
Al

just checking u mean iscv here lol.
just put it back on and run with it unplugged loom wise. i have been at the mo cause of the usual sticky iscv problem. means i have to hold my foot on the accelerator a little for 5 mins of driving when going to work at the traffic lights but after its warmed up it sweet as a nut.

Just unplug it, haven't used mine in years, always starts and idles perfect, but in winter need to hold for around 10 secs on pedal then fine.
The engine will need to be hot for mapping anyway so the iscv doesn't come into it, just set base idle to around 950 it'll be fine, if mapped properly.

Not being funny, but yours must be piss poorly set up if it can't incorporate the valve. Regardless if its required under load i.e. fans kick in or cold start.
Its not that I'm lazy, I personally want all aspects set up when its being mapped, so I don't want cold start issues or to blip the throttle because there's one aspect that doesn't work. It only requires one quick blip of the throttle on cold start and its then perfect.
But TBH I've spent a lot of money on this new engine to just have a half assed job for the final bit![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
@ Focus 4x4
Would you please be able you pop it onto yours mate and have a look for me? When you throttle mine, it'll just stick with the throttle open and stay reving to around 4k rpm
If one of your work, can you just lend it or sell it to me?

Hi matey,
I had the same problem when i grafted an entire Pectel 8injetor set-up off a sierra cosw. onto my turboed Vw 16v corrado, every now and then the Weber idle valve would stick and not go back down to base idle. The only way i cured it was to remove the Pectal set-up and use a normal L8 off a Lancia delta integrale, wish i knew why the engine did that and only when it pleased..and only when using the original ggr mapped Pectel chip which was excellent apart from that small problem.
If you can't find a decent idle valve in the uk i'd post 1 over that i had on my car, they all worked perfectly.I'm in Italy so no shortage of Weber/iaw parts here.
Let me know and i'll send you 1 foc.
Cheers.

Thanks mate, I've not really had the issues you've mentioned because it always worked up to this point. I run on an L8 with a Pectel Board and SCS Chip, but as said, no problems previously

Nah, its nothing electrical or chip related. Never had the problem previously, but the valve will stick after a few blips of throttle. Cut engine off and remove the valve and you can see its jammed in place.
