Well what a great day ! A big thanks to D7AKE and RS BOWK and the team for another great day this is the best show of the year without doubt

We had a great time on track , John Cross was out in the seat leon which we have just gave a lengthy rebuild after he rolled it at brands so we used the charity rides as a test day for the car and per usual John testing the marshalls patience LOL. The car was masivly down on power so instead of comming in so i could look at the data John was trying to quicker through the corners which resulted in him removing the tyres from the chicane not once but twice with Alexf in there to so we had to replace the bottom arm and gaffa tape it back together so got chance to look at the data on the emerald which showed the car was seeing 57 degrees airtemp so after quick check with stu @ msd of my feelings on how to help it through the day " thanks for your time STU "

we got the car a little better and enjoyed the rest of the time

It was nice to see a few old faces SiB , Sticky ,Nigel b, Rod Doug Stirling , Richie , Andy cos , Martoooon , Porkie and more it was great seeing the old lot again look forward to next year !

lastly big big up to xsport crew and alex f for all the hard work today

for me, i wanted the drift stuff to end, then the long ques could have been relieved a little and the track boys get back out there to enjoy what they paid for.

some paid alot of money for the tracktime and were lucky to get 3 - 4 sessions, which made it extremely expensive for those!

otherwise a very good day

I thought that was a bit harsh too..
Especially the guys who bought track time early doors and paid full wack for it!!

but then i spose the drift guys had paid the same to be there too.. ? dunno.

From what others were saying some managed 7/8 track sessions, @ Combe they charge £35 per session, so even 3 sessions would cost £105, you shouldnt have payed more than £115 for a whole day on track, RSOC members payed less than £100.

Drifters make our day, we have to have entertainment for the masses, and you must admit Joe Gubb is fooking awsome.

Would it suprise you if you were watching, that Joe Gubb did not know the other guy he was drifting in tandem with, not even spoken to him, amazing....cant wait to see the videos.

The track has to be shut for an hour at lunchtime, (Combe regs) only 1/2 hour was given to the drifters in the afternoon.

Just something to concider for all.....

If you are looking for a dedicated Combe Track day, you can pay £200, they still shut at lunchtime for an hour and I bet you don't get more than 6 sessions...I know because I do them.

I wish I could get out on our day in my Track Car...

Not a rant, just trying to explain our situation hope this helps...

Without having a go at the Combe organisers i will have to agree.
Just keep them to dinner as the ques in the afternoon was daft!
Even the marshall at the end of the que thought it was a silly thing to do.

Like i said,Not being an arse,Just giving constructive critiscm.

Other than that a cracking day out

Comments taken on board, we will certainly be looking at this for next year, and with what happened on the parade this year I dont think it will be a problem.

Drifting for an hour in the lunchtime maybe?
