They got me on the January tax, there is no way out of it.

but the efficiency of the V5 issuing office is a joke.

Sent in applicvation for V5 Nov 8th

Cashed £19 cheque 19th nov

issued V5 4th Jan

received V5 6th Jan

got fooked by SORN 11th feb

7 weeks to issue a V5 is a joke, I could not have taxed it until the 7th of Jan.

Still going to register a shitter in her name and let her get out of all the speeding fines! she don't know me from adam!

i got a letter this morning

fookin bastids fined me 40 quid for my peugoet derv head gasket went start of november and the tax ran out at the end of nov. The car had been sitting in my mates yard for a few months and I gave the logbook to my mate a month or so after it was parked up. saying he could keep the piece of shit.

Now how can I get out of this.

Someone got a letter I can simply print and send to these robbing fookers.

R4N S S, try your luck first, send them a letter saying you are no longer the owner of the car. Tell them the date you 'sold' it and you'll have to give a name and address of who you 'sold' it to.

Tell them you sent off the V5 and gave the new owner the new keeper part of the V5. You assume the reason the new owner has not taxed car is because it was not running at the time you sold it to them.

Make it sound as believeable as possible and fingers crossed

rans have ya not learnt anything i wrote , told ya they dont send em out after 14days

send a letter to em saying ya never got the reminder but what ya done was posted the sorn off to the dvla local office as you have there address and thats where ya deal with ya private plate stuff ect, hence why ya sent it there as you wasnt sure where else !!!!

then say the cars off the road, always has been and you can feel free to come round and view it with its missing engine in my yard ect

give it a go, if ya say ya sold it and never informed em then they will not only fine ya for the sorn they will also fine ya for not informing them of change of keeper !!!!

also recomemd they send a reminder to all car owners as if ya recived the reminder ya would know where to send the sorn off to

trust me mate aslong as ya done asmuch as ya can to sorn it they aint gonna fine ya, if ya worried about the fine like i was then also send a cheque but date it 1 month in advance so it bounces and request em to take ya to court !!!!, iot worked with me and i got the cheque sent back to me, i never sorned mine either

now as for the 14 day instant fine, i bet yours is for 3 months no tax !!!!, maybe 2 though but i will bet a crisp 50 its not 1 months tax fine and 40 quid
