Try a set of injectors like I said on the phone Kev. I can always get our workshop to look at it but you'd need to drag it to Preston and you'd be paying Ł35 p/h labour! We'd do a leak back test on the injectors before removing them though (measure how much comes out the leak off port on the injector).

They can suffer with broken crank sensor wiring where the loom drops down near the water pump, try wiggling the loom while someone else cranks it, also, how many miles has it done? They suffer with timing chain tensioner faults, this causes the chain to slacken off slightly when left for a long period of time, at best, this will stop it from starting because the cam/crank sensor lose sync, at worst, the valve timing jumps and scraps the head.

Haha, that's my theory out the window then lol. Have you taken the crank sensor out and looked at it to see if it's covered in meatl swarf from the flywheel?
If you crack the injectors off and crank it, is there much fuel at the injectors?
Also, what's the main electrical connector like on the back of the pump? A bad connection there can stop it from starting, and when it's running, vibration from the engine can cause it to cut out, had one like this a few years back, took me ages to find out why!
