Anyone on here got a set? Just got a set from the guy that reproduces them and was wondering what people had done about the glass for them, as well as the mechanism inside them?
Not fussed about electric adjustment or anything like that, just want some glass in there and want to know how people have fitted it!

Is that the guide off the EsCos forum Richie? I came across it earlier but couldn't read it!
Small turbo Escort mirrors would be basically the same as MK6 Escy mirrors internally I should imagine, but they look like MK5 Escy mirror mechanicals to me!
I'll dig a mirror up and have a look anyway. I guess if you use the standard mirror as a basis, you could ditch the threaded rod as a mount? Though it's still there in those pics!

Ah right. Do you have to be a member to view? I did register but it still wouldn't let me!
Yeah I'm sure something can be put together, just curious to see what other people have done.
Low weight is what I'm after really though, so the less I can get away with fitting, the better!

i have the mirrors finished on mine i will post up the new pics when i get home but they do run the small turbo mirror internals as the big turbo motors will not fit in as i had both to play with and got my local glass supplier to cut some new escort mirror glass to size. And as for weight they weigh very little with this done to them

Photos as promised,The glass cut to shape as said these where new escort mirror glasses cut down to size so to leave the view the same ,Then just fit in and screw up the motor, stick the glass in, In the pic you will see the the edge is not covered as at that time the edge moulding i was getting from my glass supplier was not in at the time so it has a black rubber edge around it the same as a normal car mirror.
So from start to finish and fitted.

As for the making of the inside yes its not too hard to make i just went for the electric way for easy moving on the mirror and that i could use the oe mountings to the door for fitting
