The other black one is a guy who stays about 40 miles from me.Saw him down at Kendal Show.He did say he was going to Knockhill back then,so you may see the car there if he has not sold it if you are keen on it.I have just bought a White one for £18500,and that is what the cars are worth.30K+ RS500's are not selling, and as another member said on another thread, the vendors who are looking for this kind of money have had their cars for sale for months now, most of them fat greedy traders looking to make a quick buck.Ask them how much they paid for them......

Anyone know of the whereabouts of the other RS500 in the picture,E999 RSD? It was supplied new by Ford RS Dealer Dalblair Of Ayr,and was owned from new by its then Managing Director John Gould.Used to see it often in the mid 1990's going round the track at Knockhill, which is where i think the second picture was taken.According to the DVLA Database it has not been taxed since 1997.

Is that the one that used to be the black one Paul? Around 22K if i remember right? Sorry to dissapoint you,but it is not that one, like yourself i know these cars inside out and know what to look for.Sounds to me you are a bit annoyed that you did not get there first. As i have already said much as i love these cars they are glorified Ford Sierras which were cheaper than a basic Granada new,and as such are not worth 30K.I gather you own a collection of them, and seem to be a bit pissed off at them not being worth what you think they are worth.Wake up,no RS500 will, and probably never will be worth 50K in todays money, and anyone who pays that for one now needs sectioned. To me you sound like a businessman who wheels and deals in these cars/parts,and is getting a bit worried in a collapse in the values of them like they did in 1989-91.Most expensive commodities devalue in a recession,so succumb yourself to the fact that the days of 30-40 and 50K RS500's are probably a thing of the past.It could be that in a year or two £17K for an RS500 might be expensive! Personally i don't give a flying f... if they drop to £500 as i have 2 of them because i am an enthusiast, and rest assured they will hopefully still be with me when i am getting carted off in a coffin!

I would advise anyone looking for a gen white 500 to expect to pay a min of 25k for a car that needs work
All you need now is a cheap moonstone and you have the full collection

congrats on finding a white one for that price
were you actively looking for a white one ,or did you buy this one cause it was such value ?

im only posting so i can see pics of these 500's when they appear.
i recently looked at a 3 door which should have been in a museum if it was as good as what it should have been, original paint, panels, never been out in the rain or wintertime,56k,2 owners,420 bhp, ended up being a complete shed,i personally wouldnt get too excited about a cheap rs500 as its prob just as rusty as any other badly cared for d reg sierra which is sadly true for most cosworths, its the owners who see proper mint cars going for 50k and want some of that wedge for their below avg car.
