Default Help Citroen C4 Picasso problem!!!

Good mate of mine has a C4 Picasso people carrier with the 2 litre petrol engine and flappy paddle automatic transmission. He's had it for a couple of years now and it's done just 20k miles. Upon colection he thought it didn't drive quite right so returned it to be told that was normal and how they drove. It was returned again where the dealer advised the gearbox software needed updating and duely charged him £100. The car was returned a further few times with the same gearbox symptoms as well as other issues and they always fobbed him off or done a software update which they charged him for.

Now the car is out of warantee they are telling him the clutch has gone and it will be £1200+ . Obviously he is now pretty pissed, anybody able to offer advise

this stopped me buying one, decided to stick with the galaxy as clutches at 20K is normal, lots of owners complaining about them and the appalling gear change you get.

People are starting to come back to me with those comments.

Gutted for my mate as he's a genuinely decent guy and doesn't deserve this shit. Doubt he'll buy another Citroen EVER again after all this.

i work for citroen, as the clutch plate wears, obviously the clutch biting point gets higher, therefore knocking the actuating arms out of sync slightly. reprogramming it makes it change gear slightly better, but any of the egs boxes wear clutches more as they arent fully auto they are egs. (electronic gear selection)
