Sure its been mentioned on here before,

iirc some thing to cover the intake on the turbo once the air filters removed, with a tyre valve fitted into it.

You need one of these like I used on my Escos below:

I had a good friend of mine make it up for me, you'll need a lot of air to keep it all pressurised for any duration - I have a 50l compressor.

Very handy for leak detection and fixing - some of the leaks I had were like howling gales. Worryingly two were from failed / nicked injector seals, and one was from a Samco hose joiner that wasn't that well installed.

I now only have very minor leaks from a couple of bolts on my plenum, which just need some thread sealer on them.

Use a squirty bottle with washing up liquid and water in it, and spray around everything linked to the inlet side - plenum, TB, Inlet manifold and boost pipework to help to find the leaks.

Si

Oh don't whack in more pressure than you plan to run - I used 40 psi max testing mine. At 45 psi by accident, the pipe blew off the turbo and whacked me in the bollocks while I was trying to look at the pressure indicator

Nope, not to check the inlet side at least. Just crank the engine round till all / most of the inlet valves are shut. I didn't know how to do it scientifically, so just rotated the engine by hand till the air leaks stopped and the pressure gauge started to climb

Then whacked in the air to 40 psi and started tightening stuff up!
