The old man has just brought a westfield with a vauxhall redtop in, its fairly standard but with an sbd jenvey throttle body kit and custom exhaust manifold ect, think it wants a good setup as it dosent feel as sharp compared to the 165hp pinto one he had a few years back and surely it should make more than that as there 150 standard? I dont know that much about them so wonderd what power a setup like this should make?

 

175bhp-180bhp without cams on a good standard healthy engine

 

no way 180bhp.most are 130 standard.had loads of redtops/lets in corsa and nova's.take it to a rolling road and go from there mate,redtops are good engines but getting old now.fresh tune and you will see good power but dont expect 180 mate thats internet figures.

 

130 to 150 imo
