Happily retired
well ive been offered a straight swap glenn and honets the car is mint i havent seen one like it mate not a mark on it had a full resto every panel changed sprayed ect ect rebuilt engine approx 200bhp just thinking at this moment in time with me just moving into my flat ect it would be cheaper to run and i can still get to meets ect and best of all im still in a RS
Old cars aint mint you guys slay me when you say such things . Your Cossie sounds shot yet a guy wants to swap it for a mint Fez . Time to wake up me thinks these old cars are expensive to run & will only get worse the older they get. Get it to a specialist, im sure Carl will fix it just fine & then decide what to do. Their are no bargains or Mint cars at this level of the market be assured.

as said a power steering pipe failure isnt the end of the world and can be easily fixed, a cambelt isnt a hard job to do either, you may swap it for the fez but you will soon hate yourself missing the power steering, abs and the power
turbosystems are down the road from you so saves you a lot of money bringing it all the way down here and tony knows what hes doing when it comes to cossie wether its a set up or full on engine rebuild

think carefully about swapping. i regret selling mine cheap, i'd spent a fortune on it in three months and got disillusioned with it but regret it two or three times a week and that was ten years ago.
the faults are'nt major. if you cant afford to repair now park it and wait till you can.
sit yourself down and think would you rather own a fiesta or love a cossie?

It's not a difficult fix mate. The fiesta is bound to develop problems too so you'll only find yourself in a similar situation.
Can you not get a knacker to run around in. That way you can just fix it when you want. I tend to use mine for a bit, break something then park it up till i can be arsed with it or fancy a play in it

reet lads ive decided ithink im going to keep it going to use the money i had for the setup to order a timing belt tensioner and sensor kit! and some of the rsoc lads fixed my power steering house for me free of charge ect so thats great!! then the setup will have to wait untill i can save again but at least it should be sweet after that HOPEFULLY!

people tell you different stories, i have never ever had a car set up on rollers, for a "bet" i strapped my T61/1000cc min powered saff to a local set of rollers (dont advertise for these fcuking idiots so im saying nowt!) and fueling and mapping was bang on and made 516bhp, so i must be able to set them up well on the road
as long as its a good map in the chip to start with were onto a winner and its mearly a case of setting up the basics and i use innovite lambdas for setting up all my motorsport customers and big power road cars.
send me a PM if you want but most newcastle folk know of my cars, mainly Damien, my moonstone 2wd saff
Never had an engine failure except headgaskets and bent cranks lol DOH!

I do feel sorry for you mate, seems like you have had bad luck from ages now
When its set up i think it will be a spot on car! You have to upload some videos or something when she is up and running!

Just read this and was gonna tell you to put your dummy back in, have a few beers and then get the pipe and belt done, lol. It aint a bad job to do so shouldnt cost much for someone to do it for you.
If Sean has the Innovate stuff and is willing to help you out then happy days. I remember Damien and it wasnt shy, lol.
