Chargecoolers are a compronmise really, and are not as good as intercoolers, they are suited for tight spaces. Why would you want to put this on instead of one of the many reputable intercoolers? im sure this kit is fine though in saying that

as above, when there are some very capable intercoolers available for bargain prices for cosworths, I dont see the point of going to a chargecooled setup

Everyone here will slag chargecoolers off, but I'll be honest and say I've never looked into comparisons against each other so won't comment. All I will say is I've run a Pace chargecooler on my S1 for 12 years and never ever had any issue with it at all. Car pulls like a train no matter how warm the temparerature is outside.

i have no problems with chargcoolers... i would consider one myself is i ever went forced induction on my nova puerly because of the lack of space, its just that a cosworth is well suited to an air to air intercooler as it is so the added complications of a chargecooler is often unnessasary.

@ sierrafun.. what makes you think you would get no lag with a water to air intercooler? the type of cooler has very little effect on lag and only then because of the volume of the intake system...

There is lag with a cc that is due to the size ref how much , they are shit hot on drag cars as they are cool befor they set off and there big which they need to be to work , I worked St pace for many years and I tested a cc on my cosworth I also had a 500 cooler in it at the same time and all the temp reading were saying that the cc made no different from being turned on , but having said that on the s1 and s2 they worked very well and how well they work is due to cc size and the cc water rad size so as much as someone many say there shit this is not true as you just need to be sure it right for your cars needs

in greece we cut the rs 500 intercooler t35 set up engine .we reduse the lag like that .the turbo was press air from 2300 not from 3000 before .i believe that the water intercooler is better because the inetrcooler is very very small ..0 lag .besides somebody can test in before use it .i mean about test pressure ..and water .some drag cars in greece they use it they work fine

rs 500 cooler is with angles .what does it means ?the air must to 90 degrees to go inside and outside the cooler.... its stops a bit the air to go to the trottle body .also is very big the air must go down to full up and then up to exit then .the watet coller is difirent its very small one way posibol the shape of the cooler .it can be full up very quickly to go to the throttle body

Do those chargecoolers look any good? They look a bit home made to me.
I need a new one and have been getting quotes around Ł750
I could get a bigger 1 from that ebay shop for under Ł250!
Would any1 on here use 1?

they use ice to cool the water going through the chargecooler to nearer or under 0 cesius, this means that the chargecooler can cool down the intake air much more effectivly to a lower tempereture.
