AS ABOVE REALLY.. what actually made you buy one? i wanted one since i was in primary school after seeing a few in the area and my family being mad about fords

 

how fast they are and how they can hit 200mph and beat vayrons with only a 165 chip.

After watching all the RS,s thunder through the Welsh Forests as a youngster i have always wanted one, and was lucky to buy as my first one a 3dr Sierra cosworth the true RS Rallye car in my opinion..

 

nothing gives you the same buzz has a RS

Owned frst, s1 ,s2, escos and xr2i just wanted to scratch them of the list as I always wanted them when I was at school.

 

Rally or Colin McRea to be more precise.

I have driven Subaru since 2002 and to date I've had 9. I wanted to try something else but still keep the connection to rally and McRea so the Focus RS was it.

Love it and so far I'm not sorry I've changed.

 

my uncle had a door that he actually never used it was sat in his garage on axel stands all the time when i was a kid then i saw a saff at his house one day and i wanted 1 lol

 

the buzz, there a proper car to drive, your in control not some computer under the dash working over time, there great car to drive in my eyes,

 

alway's wanted a cossie from getting 150 mph run when i was 9

 

so why r u breaking it then and gettin out the ford scene ?

 

i will always love RS's but you cant put them in a suit case an take them half way round the world

 

thinking my renault 21 turbo was fast untill my mate said come see my dads cosworth which was one of the fastest about back then had to have one after that

wow. any of you lot regret it then? or your happy to do so? i lost money but im happy with mine keeps you buzzing. and gets loads of attention all makes it worth the cash .

 

most folks are older on here had the RS cars, then got old then started to like there dads cars

 

Regretted owning a S2 probably the worst of the lot I owned.

 

Comfort, space, performance, luxury, auto box.

 

there the same car has the s1 bar the front and back panels

I don't know,its the name 'RS' winds ppl up,i fooking love it,evan tho my frst is the most unreliable one ive owned,when its running its great,when its not its a cnut........

 

why didnt you like it? have u had like a better rs like a cossie or something because they generally drive better than rs turbos so if u went back to one it would not feel all that... i have a rs turbo drove a cossie it did drive better but i my rs cheaper to run and parts are cheap plus a mate could work on it..

but ive had both cars not much between them, but the s1 looks better

 

i used to walk past i white s2 on the way to school every morning, i used to say to my mate one day ill own that car, and 4 years later i did, and in the ten years since that day no other car has ever made me feel that way again, not even my other s2,s or xr's although i have loved them too

 

Ever since the Focus RS came out I've always wanted one. I was 13 years old back then and it will definitely be my next car. My first RS experience was a Fiesta RS turbo. Nothing special only around 150-160bhp or so but it felt amazing on boost and I wanted one so badly but it is a bit dated for me so I'd probably go for a Focus RS.

 

Had a piss slow Mk2 Punto when I was 18, then had a drive of a XR3i, then got taken out in a S1 RST.... never looked back since, I had a Black S2 within a couple months & I've had 2 more ZVH Escorts since & a FRST.

It's knowing exactly how shit they are that makes them the best lol... Fkn love an RST

 

Not really sure where the Fordy spark kicked off from but I have been into Fords since I was a kid and have always loved the Sierra! I have wanted a Sierra Cosworth for as long as I can remember and always said i'd have one. Have owned 4 Sierras over the years I eventually got to the point that I thought, my next Sierra has to be a Cossie (or RS to keep in touch with the question asked) and if I don't buy one now, I don't think I ever will, so looked and looked and looked and eventually found one I liked and bought it. That was just over a year ago and haven't regretted it one bit

My son suggested a change after years of Sports cars.
Did not intend to create what i have, just wanted to own a quickish icon.
Never been a RS fan but loved anything Cosworth. Still dont think they are great cars but can be made a quick if you spend enough money.
If i wanted something really fast i would buy an RS Turbo & get MO to fettle it for me & then go Lambo bashing .

 

when i was 13 i was shot and blinded in my left eye, at 18 i was paid out a large compensation ammount, so after only holding my licence for 3 weeks i went out and bought a MK2 RS2000, Black Custom AMD268T an dfrom then went and bought most of the RS range, i love fords.

PS i am 40 this sunday, so i was driving RS's when they were fashionable the first time, damn i seem old.

 

Wanted a Mk2 16V Golf, but I heard that a decent S1 was available. Said that most were nails (and this was in 1995 !) but was told this was a decent one so said I'd have a look.

The rest is history....

 

I was looking for the mk2 focus RS before they came out for some pictures (never was into the RS then but wanted to see it)

Then i came across a thread on this site with someone who got a black mk1 focus 1.6 i think and turned it into a RS and just thought it was the bollocks! I wanted to do the same and ended up with a saph cossie never knew how much of a money pit they were but still love to see money go into it!

 

 

the main reason i got one was so i could destroy lambos and ferraris and that for less than 10k........

on a serious note though, when i was about 13 my uncle took me out in his 200bhp RST, that pritty much had me hooked as it seemed mentally fast as my dad always drove shoguns and rarley went above 40 lol

 

because we all want to be cool like mo.....

I bought my first RS because my BMW blew up...

 

Remember being in my dads mk2 rs2000 when I was about 7 and loving it,even remember the 'clunk click every trip' period badge on the dash,after that a guy down the road had s2's,I bought his black 1 years later,bought my 1st s2 when I was 21,had 4 cossies,1s1,5 s2's,1 mk5 rs2k and just bought a mk2 Frs,can't see past the Rs badge.there are some right sheds out there as everybody wants them but not everybody looks after them.
