Default will a 1.1 crossflow gearbox fit my 1.6 cvh

i have been offered a 4 speed box out of a mk2 fezza by a friend of mine as i cannot seem to find a cvh one in my area that isnt fallling apart ( currently have 2 in my garage) i was just wondering if it would fit, if it would break, and what difference it would make to the cars performance, other than the obvious reduction in the top end. cheers

The bellhousing bolt pattern should line up, as to the input shaft, who knows!

As above, an IB5 from the Mk5 and Mk5b escorts will fit straight on, but to answer your question i fitted a 1.6 cvh engine to my 1.1 OHV Mk3 escorts gearbox and it went together no problem. Was quite nippy actually just no top end lol.

Yep, will bolt together no problem, probably accelerate quite well but will run ouf of puff at top end as said.

We just fitted a 1.3 Crossflow box to a 2.0 Zetec so will be interesting to see how it goes/holds up!
