NTL problem

NTL problem
OUr NTL packed up on us earlier and upon removing the card it appears to have got a tad warm and the end of the smartcard is brown and there is heat damage round the chip.
Anybody else come across this?

alright mate,
my gf works for ntl, she says you will need a whole new set top box, and a new smart card as the two allways go together.
but she says they normally get things like that sorted quickly and you will get compensation for the time you've not got your service.

i used to work for NTL Faults dept.!!!!
as above!!! box is worthless on its own...card and STB (Set Top Box) always need to go together!!!
BUT the cards can get VERY brown and still works!!!
whats it say on the front of the bos??
