Can anyone help me i have a Mk5 XR3i and picked up an RS recaro escort interior i have fitted all the rear seats and trim panels in the rear and on the doors but when i went to fit the front seats they wont fit the seat runners are to wide apart and dont line up with the car floor pan is there different floor pans for the mk5 escort and does any one have the correct runner so i can fit the seats

looks like you have bought escort cosworth seats

if thats the case then the escort cosworth uses a sierra floorpan and seat subframes, unlike an other mk5 escort, what you need to do is swap the subframe but you will need to make brackets for the subframes to fit the seats

Have you got a pic of the seats? They might be out of a MK6 RS2000, in which case, as you're discovering, the runners won't fit. Hmm, saying that, if the door cards were out of the same car and they fitted...
