Default passionford santa pod day anyone ?

i have been reading santa pod website and pod can be hired for the day for private use but full track support with all the track prep, timing gear, fire service and ambulance.
i would be happy to arrange it but obviously wouldnt be cheap so would need x amount of people to pay x amount then we could have the track to ourselves for the whole day.
i will ring them this week and get a price for the hire maybe a weekday ?
just curious if anyone would be interested, id guess it will be around £200 a head if we had 50 people thats assuming the hire is £10000 for the day.
anyone interested ?

PRICE IS £75 PER CAR 50 CARS
NEED 50 PEOPLE IN AND A GOOD FEW PAYED TO ME BEFORE I AM WILLING TO PAY SANTA POD OUT OF MY OWN MONEY
IT WILL BE A WEEK DAY DATE TO BE CONFIRMED IF ENOUGH PEOPLE JOIN

It aint anywhere near £10k a day.

The problem with what you want to do is that you need to book and pay in advance unless you are known to SP AND they do not run in the rain. FULL STOP.

I was part of the original team that set up Central Day and was involved with the running for the first 5 years... SP aint stupid and were only really interested in talking turkey after we proved ourselves at the first event.

After that they wanted to help us put on a better event.

I appreciate you don't want to put on an event as such.....

Easiest thing to do is to ring em and ask em - they're quite happy to talk.

Jake

You could go on the test and tune day which is £50 plus entry but only 100 cars are allowed to sign on iirc

I hate the pushing too

Exactly what I was about to say, fuck hiring the whole venue, just go to a test and tune day which is a fully prepped track etc anyway!

got to agree with chip ,think test and tune last year was 60 quid but as many runs as you want and limited to 100 cars, but theres only normally 60 to 80 and you get some proper vehicles testing ,

well ive just emailed darren at santa pod for a price for full daily hire of the track with timing gear.
its 100 cars for test and tune day but even so a passionford day with be worth the premium imo now stop being such tight arses, im trying here people but cant do it on my own !
at 100 cars the price should be may less then prob around £100 per person, il let you know what they say.

Trying to get 100 people from here to all agree on the same day to make it to the pod with their car ready for testing worth paying 100 quid each is going to be impossible IMHO

The problem is that everyone's builds arent synchornised so they arent all ready at once.

Agree with Chip. I've done a test and tune and they are awesome. Better focusing your efforts on Brunters maybe?

I think you are underestimating the number of people who want to pay 100 quid or more to go for a day at santa pod with no show, no traders etc, instead of paying 40 quid for less runs on a day with lots of stuff to do.

Its not a case of people having attitude, just trying to stop you wasting your time!

Pod is the place to go, but why not 30 people from PF all book onto the same test and tune day, and still have some other cars to look at too, rather than try and make it an exclusive event that there simply isnt the demand to make realistic?

I think it sounds great but the price will be to high and like said not everyone would be ready (including me )

Cant we all just meet up on a airfield one night (about 1 in the morning) and go for it! If the police came then we just do a fast and furious!

Why not find some where in the middle of everyone for a PF meet at a go karting place! See how good you really are in a race

Or paint baling but still have the meet.

Ive got my parachute on so im ready to be shot down in flames!

If you just want to meet up with people from PF, then central day is a good option, or come to the next blackpool night out.

Or organise paintballing or something again too, we did that in about 2004 or so IIRC and it was good fun (other than the getting shot at pointblank range by my so called mates after the games had ended just cause I double crossed them during the game )

As above, its a great idea but its far easier to arrange to meet at one of the tuner days or RWYB or ford shows.

If it rains you arrange to go to the next one

i see the point thats being made but id happily pay the premium 3 times over for a quiet track for the day. i have got the tarriffs in but i see there isnt enough interest so will just do rwyb now.

if its a case of numbers why not partner up with migweb or vauxsport or something. would still get maybe a 100 people so not packed and plenty of runs and would be an interesting ford Vs vauxhall day?

i want the track to myself and thought others would to, i dont go to pod to trade its for the track time. i can see the point its more expensive but worth it imo.

right 50 people could be done for about £75 a head on a week day, just need to pick a dry day as track drying is expensive, but 50 cars is only 25 rows would be maximum track time from 9 am to 4 pm.
