I have a 6 speed quaife on in my v8 westfield. Been really good and been in car for over 14 years. Quaife refreshed it for me around 5 years ago and it only cost a few hundred quid.
Looking into paddle change now.

i know rob at elite quite well, we were chatting a couple of weeks ago about a 6 soeed seq.
your looking at Ł5.5k+vat for the box, extra Ł200 if you want another set of drop gears and then just odds and sods for things like gear indicator etc

Trouble is tho that some of us lads with big turbos are around 500lbft+ and in big heavy cars, and i dont think the quaife boxs are rated that high?
just seen this, my bro in law mentioned this to me a while ago as his company do there photocopiers, didn't realize it was out yet!

Any more details of them? Would love to see them on track. We are doing a Westfield trackday 30th June at Mallory Park. Would do good discount for either of those cars to come. They sound awesome and 500 bhp..mental
Depending on how deep your pockets are you could look at the Saenz gearbox.
Contact Pig off here as he has one on order for his Mk2, they are rated to handle shed loads more than anything else available.
Last time I priced a Tractive it was Ł8500 so not exactly ideal for everyone, the Sadev was much cheaper but this was for NA applications too and not sure I'd fancy either being that I believe they are not designed with the massive torque some engines are making.

Amazing, can't underestimate light weight and good power.

I wonder if someone could do one along the lines of " this is a cheap track car, there is no way I will put a sequential box in it???"
Mike
There's is a few options about, if your pockets are deep then tractive is one of the ones to go for but if not then selholm and elite to name a few , I had a g33 quaife which I sold before I used it has I heard some stories and it turns out after I sold it the bloke used it and quaife built it wrong ( 5 and 6 the wrong way round) and then charged for new gears. But I am looking at going elite but just waiting to see what some other people think of them that have them in production cars ( ie not kit cars) but I hear that they alone with selholm change gears nice and the tractive is very smooth
after loads of reserch i went for the tractive, although the higher rated sadev is new to the market might be worth cheaking out.
got the xbox paddleshift system fitted and tested it out last sat at a trackday, the auto upshift is fantastic

Bloody hell. I thought mine was a good spec. Just spent an hour reading through it though!! I still think it needs more rubber on it though. I use 245/40 CR500's on the road but the slicks are totally different. Mine will do full throttle in second and rarely spin up

I run Dunlop Rally slicks mostly now. They are same construction as the circuit slicks. With some swirls cut in them and an E mark on the side....
Apparently road legal

pretty grippy once warm. Prefer them to the R888's I think.
I cant find any wider 15' slicks to buy at all! or 15 inch tyres wider than R888's a 235 R888 is MUCH wider than a 245 Cr500 weirdly!
Going to need to be one hell of a set of brakes to stop 500bhp with only a 13" wheel to fit inside!
Run 13s on the back and 15 on the front and accept it looks gay but works brilliantly would be my solution I reckon

My brakes have never faded though, in the 15 years I have had it. Admittedly it is some way off power wise but was still hitting over 140mph on the 2 decent straights at Cadwell last week.
I think mine are Formula 3 AP's, not sure if they are any different to be honest, but many very quick racing cars only run 13" wheels. Mine runs the back tyres, 10.5/23/13 from the front of circa 1980's formula 1 cars. It would be interesting to check their brake set ups, as I doubt they were using carbon in those days.
