Default Check this out. Could have been fatal.......

As above. Customer came into my work yesterday with these discs and pads he had got just 6 wks ago.

As you can see the shim that is bonded to the back of the pad has moved as the glue has obviously melted with the heat. Could have been fatal if this had gone unnoticed by some women that doesnt know any different about cars.
Got to be a recall on these I think.

Sorry about having to click the links folks but I'm on my phone as my laptop is gay at the moment.

I've seen something similar when some numpty split the caliper to fit new pads but the piston was siezed so when it was all bolted back together the disc was forced over at a slight angle and sheared off after a few miles.

Seen it a few times, my dads neighbour wanted me to help with his new arms/struts/discs pads, one of the pads was half missing(3 years old), discs were ok, but I've seen the above many times, even seen brake pads turn to a material like a weetabix due to overheating.

Fitted six weeks ago? Does he park it in the sea, as the corrosion on those discs looks much older than six weeks lol

That's what I was thinking. The disks I took off my fiesta that were atleast 6+years old were in a better state than those lol.
