Rip off car!!!!
HI ppl
Im in a bit of a dilemma, was hoping ppl on here could help me out. Here goes.
I bought a fiesta ghia 2000 in november 2010 and since than I have had endless amounts of problems with it.
So I decided to get rid of it for whatever I get.
I have spent over £1000 in total including the cost of the car.
Today some ppl came to c it and found out that it is a cat D.
He showed me under the carpet in the boot and the front and we done a hpi check and it came up as a cat D.
I have had soo much work done on it and still it hasnt ended.
Just to list a few things I had done.
CV joints, wishbones, suspension mounts, pads, disks etc.
Now the guy that sold it to me didnt mention any problems and actualy told me the car was perfect.
I know its my bad that I didnt take the car on a thorough test drive but I did drive it around he's area for a bit and nothing seemed wrong.
Now I just need to know what can be done.
Legally is there anyway of getting him to take the car back and giving my money back?
If no what am I looking at getting for the car.
Mechnically it doesnt have much work left.
I have been told it needs
wishbone bushes, drop links
heat exchanger
and a track rod
brakes bleeding.
The main problem to me is what the ppl who came to see it showed me.
The inside of the boot under the carpet is not flat its raised in someplaces and not in other.
Sorry for bringing such a long story here but I could realy do with some advice.
Im a student and I kinda just want this over with and make the best out of what I have left.

not sure if theres anyway to get him to take car back, its really your job to check all things like accident damage and that sort of thing hence "sold as seen"( not sure on legallity of this either)
would it not be best to scrap car or break it ... get whatever you can back for it and face up to the loss of money, youll now know what you are looking for in future

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
if you bought it privately then there's no comback and it's over 6 months ago anyway..
If you've only got those last few bits to sort out get them done and chalk it up to experience..
you'll know what to look out for next time I'm sure...
not much else to do IMO.. unless you want to lose a good chunk of the money you've already invested in it.

After doing all that work why don't you keep the car? All of those items are wear and tear really and as for the Cat D thing and raised floor, I personally wouldn't worry about it

Thanks for the replies ppl.
In the end just handed it to some guys for £300!!! after a load of ppl came and just found faults after faults Cant believe it
Just couldnt take the headache no more.
It seems like I got used to so many of the problems i forgot most of them were even there.
to list a few
The dashboard only kicks in after ten seconds of the car being on,
The electrics in the car are all just bent.
Anything near 60mph and it acted like it was gonna fall apart,
and after i was shown were it was sprayed basically most of the rear end. and how bent the boot bit of the car hidden by the craply sprayed replacement bumper was.
Well I guess its a damn good lesson for me to do a thorough check on a car before i buy.
I just hope the brakes fail in front of the P***K that sold it to me

No offence mate but you need to take someone with you next time you buy a car that knows what they are looking at
