Acetone improves efficiency?
Basically, I read on the interwebs that adding small amounts of acetone in with your fuel when you fill up can increase your fuel efficiency between 33-50%!
Does anyone have any knowledge on this?
I can't see it being true but it all looked fairly convincing, lots of people have said they have tried it and it worked etc...
Cheers

Adding acetone increases the knock level of petrol and also has a intercooling effect due to its low boiling point so will improve any turbo car slightly.
However, this only works to a point and has the added side effect that if you use too much, it can rot plastic/rubber components such as injector nozzles and hoses.
As to the power increase claims you stated... LOL !!!!
yes there is a slight increase but its not an econmical way of getting more power.
Carefull you dont spill any on your paintwork too

I'm not putting it anywhere near my car anyway unless I know for a fact it works xD
And as for the increases, I that was just one guy, and I think he lied haha.
The norm seems to be 15% max
Thanks for the info
