Default mmmmmm Nice new 8-pot brakes.....

Ordered a set of these and have finished fitting them, absolutely the easiest kit I have ever fitted and the quality is amazing!

356x32mm rotors and aluminium 8 pot calipers - superb!

Only 2mm clearance against my M5 wheels when fitting. The stopping power is simply brilliant, rest on the pedal and the car stands on it's nose - I can't wait untill they are bedded in!

Going to be ordering the 6pot rear kit soon aswell

I picked my 6 pots up of Ebay and I couldn't believe how big they were. I can't wait to fit them. Those 8 pots look like monsters.....

They are monsters - at least a foot long each one

James, They are from the chap off of ebay, but I ordered direct off his website instead, www.phatboybrakes.com - poor name, great product BUT the chap who is in Taipei who deals with it all is an english bloke called Dan and I have a sneeky feeling that allthe parts come fromt he same factory as the D2 and K-Sport kits

So far Beefy, the quality is up there with the more expensive stuff in terms of appearance, finish, fitment and overall quality. The stopping power is amazing, I would say that they are much better than the AP brakes I had on my white Cossie and the Brembo 4 pots I had on my smokestone Cossie (granted they are only 4 pots but the Cossie weight was about 700Kg lighter thanthe E39). So far I've done 120 miles since fitting them and the feel of the pedal is improving all the time. Once the pads are bedded in fully I'll re-bleed the brake fluid and that's that. If anything is to go wrong, then the company offers a 1 year warranty on the calipers and 6 months on the rotors/bells if anything fails after correct installation - Not sure if any other the big brands offer anything like that?

As for people enquiring about prices, I apid Ł1019 for the kit (delivered and customs tax etc).

Tabetha - 18" OEM M5 wheels, I think they are 8.5" wide on the front and 9.5" wide on the rear

I did a lot of research about the company before I bought the kit, seems that all the reviews are good and everyone is very pleased - especially in the States

I have a set of 356mm 6 pots on my Focus ST 2.5. I've been testing them against stock and EBC setups with a Racelogic Drift Box... full feature in Performance Ford next month.

FYI... build quality is really good i can't fault them in any way! My ST now stops from 60-0 in a shorter distance than a 355 Ferrari.

Dan sends these out directly from Tiawan and they arrive within the week.

Visit http://www.pbbrakes.com/ for more info.

They are fantastic stoppers indeed.

I have the 6pots on the rear now also with 356mm rotors and they are simply brilliant and the car is very well balanced under heavy braking.

Upgrading to the 380mm front discs soon too

Only thing I have found that lets them down is the brake pads in wet weather are dire untill you have dried them off with a bit of heavy braking, looking for alternative pads to sort that though so nothing major really as you can't really say the rest of the product is bad for the sake of a poor compound brake pad

I wouldn't mind 6 pots on the front and 4 pots on the back for the 3dr.
