2wd header tank
need a new one cos the pipe for attaching turbo water return is broken
went into the ford dealer and he says, yep, that'll be 30 quid and will be here in a couple of days. marvellous i thought, cos all secondhand ones are cracked.
turns out they are no longer available
is that the case in england too?
don't want to shell out for an alloy one, think they look shit and will not have the necessary papers for ze german authorities.

hadn't thought of that.
as far as i know, the only difference between 2wd and 4x4 is that the 2wd has a small pipe for the turbo water return that is above the water level, and the 4x4 one has a large pipe.
is the second pipe on the 4x4 tank above the water level also, not that it really matters i suppose?
and are the outlets pipes on the bottom the same size and place?
if so, i guess i can order a 4x4 one and make an adaptor pipe to go from small to big
thanks for your help so far

cheers matt, will do that.
want to have a new tank with the freshly rebuilt engine. no point risking an old secondhand one that may be slightly cracked.
