Say if a mk 4 escort has got a cossie floor and running gear, what do you have to do to the registration docs, MOT, tax etc and who would insure you for road use??

I was just gunna whack a 1.3 VUN plate on the fornt of mine & insure & tax it as that!

But thats me!

other wise i think u gotta have ot all checkd over by proper engineer & then posibly SVA(depending on age) u then get the V5 log book & registration plate which will b a Q reg & then u MOT it & then insurance will quopte u from that i would of thought!

so how much does it cost to get it checked over by these people??
Or should it be left as an rs turbo and hope its never in a big crash Would it pass the MOT??

no I wouldn't take that risk, just a thought cause loads of people goin around in cars with bigger engines in and no one knows any the wiser till they crash it!

So how much we looking at to get it MOT ect. More details please. Also What identity numbers would be used and would they have to be reprinted??

So can't keep the number plate for the rs turbo then cause it got a cossie bottom??

to b honest m8 I didnt look that far in2 it as I was gunna o it the extermely illegal way!

Best of callin the DVLA & they can give u all the correct info!
